Elaine joined the insurance industry in 1994 as an Administrative Assistant with a National Adjusting Firm.  Over the next 16 years, Elaine achieved her Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) and Canadian Risk Manager (CRM) designations.  In addition, Elaine acquired extensive technical expertise in Multi-Lines Claims across Inter-Provincial Settings while acting as Control Adjuster for a National Auto Dealership Insurance Program. 

During her career, Elaine has garnered proficiency with potentially large-exposure liability claims investigations showing an aptitude for research & information gathering, analysis and computation, as well as comprehensive file maintenance for potential subrogation and litigation scenarios. Elaine joined Q.A. Adjusting Company in September, 2010.  Her primary focus is Casualty claims, specifically Hospital Liability.  Elaine also has experience with Employment Practices, Personal Injury, and Professional Liability.   In addition, Elaine is proficient in the handling of Property, Auto, and Cargo claims. 

Elaine feels blessed to have a career that has allowed her to earn her livelihood while gaining so much personal satisfaction.  She chooses to “give back” by serving on the Insurance Council of Manitoba and in the Insurance Institute Ambassador Program.  She is an enthusiastic student and is registered in the Fellowship program, while taking advantage of ongoing learning opportunities through seminars, workshops, and discussion with other insurance professionals.

When asked to outline her personal philosophy for claims handling, she emphasizes the importance of Customer Service Excellence, Professionalism, and Empathy.  She says, “We always have to remember that we are assisting people who are often dealing with personal or professional tragedy.  Whether we give good news or bad, everyone is entitled to be treated with professionalism and consideration.”
