The year 2010 marked the 38th anniversary of Russ’s adjusting career. Starting as a junior property adjuster for a national insurer in their Winnipeg office, he rapidly progressed to it’s resident/senior adjuster in Manitoba. 8 years later he took the position of Claims Manager for the Northern Union Insurance Company, remaining with that organization until its demise. Russ took the opportunity then presented to work for Dunwoody to assist in the windup before embarking on a career as an independent adjuster in 1983. Joining the firm Christianson McMaster Adjusters he experienced a broader client base in all lines of insurance claims. As senior staff retired, Russ became a partner as the company evolved into CM Adjusters. He went on to management for a national adjusting firm, when it acquired CM in 1997. In 2000 he founded QA Adjusting Company.
Russ, the managing partner, specializes in the handling of hospital liability maters, bond losses, appraisals/mediation and adjusts property, general liability, and cargo claims.
He emphasizes communication as being the most important tool for the proper adjustment of a claim. He also has a keen awareness of the need for customer service having first been exposed to the insurance community while assisting in his father’s rural insurance brokerage.
He is proud to work in an industry that has been good to him and his family.
