William is a lifelong resident of Winnipeg.
He attended the University of Manitoba and after graduating with a B. Comm (Hons) and an LLB, he commenced articling and then practicing with a large Winnipeg law firm. He ultimately joined the firm as a partner.
He carried on a diverse practice advising individuals and businesses in a wide breadth of civil litigation and estate matters and appearing at all levels of courts in Manitoba. William handled a vast variety of litigation cases ranging from going to the Court of Appeal for the recovery of a lost canoe in Flin Flon to a murder case in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Despite enjoying the intense nature of his practice, William decided to retire at an early age to devote more time to his family and his volunteer activities.
With his children now grown and two of them taken jobs out of province, William opted to end his retirement and apply his legal training in a new field of endeavour. William’s interests include going to concerts to see aging rock bands and travelling once or twice a year to attend classic cars shows.
